Spread the word about this article. Dax Harwood, one half of the tag team FTR, has compiled a list of the top ten tag teams in wrestling history. Harwood and his partner Cash Wheeler have achieved success in various promotions, including winning titles in Japan, Mexico, WWE, and AEW.
On the night before Thanksgiving (November 22), when many were getting ready for Thanksgiving Day, one member of a popular tag team shared his list of the top ten tag teams in wrestling history on social media platform X.
Listed below are the top 10 tag teams of all time according to Uncle Dax FTR. These include Midnight Express, Arn & Tully, Road Warriors, Rock & Roll Express, Hart Foundation, Edge & Christian, Hardy Boyz, Briscoes, British Bulldogs, and Gene & Ole Anderson. Uncle Dax FTR also mentions that he is part of the greatest working tag team on the planet.

This list is good, but it doesn't include the significant historical team known as The Fabulous Kangaroos, consisting of Roy Heffernan, Al Costello, and their manager Red Berry. They played a crucial role in popularizing tag team wrestling in the 1950s and 1960s. They were also pioneers in incorporating entrance music into their wrestling performances.
The Fabulous Freebirds, known for creating the Freebird Rule in tag team wrestling, are not included in the current lineup. This rule allows any two members of a three-person team to compete for the tag team titles. The original Freebirds, made up of Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and Buddy Roberts, were popular and controversial in their time, drawing large crowds and feuding with the Von Erichs in Texas.
One noticeable absence is the exclusion of Rick and Scott Steiner, who were considered one of the top brother duos in the past 30 years. The Steiner Brothers were a dominant force in tag team wrestling for more than 10 years, consistently winning titles in various promotions such as WWE, WCW, and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Known for their strength, creativity, and resilience, the Steiners brought a unique and exciting dynamic to the wrestling world during their time.
It's important to remember that lists like these are based on personal opinions and biases, whether from a performer, fan, or critic. It's unfortunate that these lists often overlook the important contributions of performers like Randy and Bill Mulkey, known as the Mulkey Brothers, who played a crucial role in making the teams mentioned by Dax stand out. It's time to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and talent of individuals like the Mulkeys, who may not always receive the recognition they deserve for their role in making others shine.
To be fair, Harwood did not include the Young Bucks on that list, so he did make a correct decision.
However, that is simply my personal viewpoint. What are your thoughts? In your opinion, which tag teams do you believe are the top ten of all time? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
