David Benavidez defeated Demetrius Andrade, a former champion in two weight classes, to retain his World Boxing Council interim super middleweight title in Las Vegas, Nevada. Benavidez is now eyeing a potential fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for the undisputed championship.

"After winning and proving myself as the champion, I want everyone to recognize me as the true champion of this division. I am eager for a fight with Canelo. This newfound motivation is what led me to perform the way I did," Benavidez expressed after the match.

Benavidez initially had a slow start in the fight, allowing his opponent to gain an advantage. However, once he studied his opponent and started to increase his intensity, he was able to trap his rival in a corner and deliver strong punches. This led Andrade's corner to call off the fight at the end of the sixth round.

During his return to the ring after two years, Jermall Charlo won a clear unanimous decision with scores of 98-92, 99-91, and 100-90 against Jose Benavidez Jr.

During the fight, Charlo didn't give Benavidez Jr. any space to attack, even though his usual strength wasn't evident that night. Charlo plans to return to the ring for three to four fights in 2024, regardless of the weight class he competes in.

During an exciting event, Puerto Rican champion Subriel Matias successfully defended his International Boxing Federation super lightweight title by defeating Shohjahon Ergashev. Matias aggressively fought against Ergashev until he cornered him and forced his team to stop the fight in the sixth round.

During a match for the World Boxing Association lightweight title, Hector Luis Garcia from the Dominican Republic lost to Lamont Roach in a split decision (114-113 for Roach, 114-113 for Garcia, and 116-111 for Roach).
