Van Gerwen was winning 9-5, but Humphries managed to win six consecutive legs and come back to win the match with a score of 11-9.

The Dutch player had an opportunity to bring the match to a deciding leg, but was unable to hit a score of 47. Humphries then hit a maximum score to increase the intensity of the game.

Neither of the two men were able to finish the leg, as Van Gerwen missed hitting the target by 32 points and Humphries failed to capitalize on his opportunity to score on double seven.

Currently popular in the darts world is the fact that Van Gerwen missed his chance to win from a score of 16, allowing Humphries to hit double one and secure another ranking title. This victory positions Humphries as a strong contender for the upcoming World Championships.

Humphries, who recently won both the World Grand Prix and Grand Slam titles, achieved his third televised victory in just seven weeks.

Humphries expressed uncertainty about the events that occurred, mentioning that the past few weeks have been extremely challenging for him. He mentioned feeling overwhelmed by being away from his family and constantly focused on playing darts. Finally, during the recent game, he felt a change in his performance.

During that particular game, I believed I had no energy left to give. However, I persevered and continued to work hard. I often emphasize the importance of determination and resilience in such situations. It is truly unbelievable to me that I now have three major titles, something I never thought possible. I am excited for what the future holds.

Humphries stated that he was told he needed to defeat his opponent in a final match, and he was able to accomplish that.

Michael performed exceptionally well in that situation. I began to worry that I would need to come up with a miraculous play because of how well he was playing. However, he missed many shots, giving me an opportunity to advance.

"I always wanted to defeat Phil Taylor in a final, but I never had the chance. So, the closest thing is beating Michael van Gerwen, who is considered one of the greatest players of our time and even hit a nine-darter. Beating him in a final is the ultimate dream for me."

During the semi-finals, Humphries easily defeated Ryan Joyce with a high average score of 106.2, while Van Gerwen won against the top German player Gabriel Clemens with a score of 11-6.

In the afternoon session of the finals day, Dutch player Van Gerwen made a comeback to narrowly defeat Stephen Bunting 10-9 in the quarter-final match.

Clemens advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Luke Woodhouse with a score of 10-7. Humphries also achieved a 10-7 victory over James Wade, and Joyce secured a 10-6 win against Australian player Damon Heta.
