The host of GB News, who is well-known for enjoying a pint of beer, was challenged to drink six unique blends while in the Australian Jungle. He participated in "Down Your Sorrows" alongside former champion boxer Tony Bellew.
Bellew seemed a bit bothered by viewers asking him to join the challenge, while Nigel was excited to finally participate after missing out on the public vote for several days. Dec asked Nigel why he thought the public chose him that day, and Nigel expressed surprise that he hadn't been picked for more trials earlier in the week. He mentioned wanting to reach a new audience by doing more challenges, as they make up a significant portion of the show's airtime. In the drinking challenge called 'Down Your Sorrows,' Nigel had to consume six disgusting drinks, including blended pigs’ nose and fermented duck egg. Despite finding some drinks repulsive, both Nigel and Tony Bellew managed to drink all 12 concoctions and earn 12 stars for the camp. Nigel's strategy of wanting more airtime on TV seems to be working, as he had the second highest amount of screen time on the show so far, with 57 minutes compared to YouTube star Nella Rose's 63 minutes.

In his response, Nigel acknowledged that he was surprised by the small number of trials he had completed up to that point.
He expressed uncertainty about his situation, mentioning that he expected to be chosen more often throughout the week. Despite his surprise, he found himself in the current position.
At the beginning of the week, the 59-year-old accidentally revealed that he wanted to take part in as many Bush Tucker Trials as he could.
During a recent episode of the show, Nigel expressed his desire to conduct more experiments to attract a different group of people, as he discussed with food critic Grace Dent.
He explained to his fellow camper that completing the challenges would take up 25 percent of the time on the show, and he hoped to attract a different group of viewers by doing so.
After finally participating in the trial on Saturday, Nigel had to gulp down six disgusting drinks in front of the other contestants.
The beverages he consumed included a mix of unusual ingredients such as pigs' noses, crocodile feet, cows' anuses, goat testicles, fermented duck eggs, and snails that were all blended together.
Nigel quickly drank most of the drinks, but struggled with a few of them that were more difficult to tolerate.

Until now, Nigel's goal of getting the most screen time on TV seems to be working out well.
Recent studies conducted by The Sun indicate that leading up to Saturday's episode, the GB News host had the second most airtime out of all the episodes aired so far.
Nigel had the second longest amount of time on screen with 57 minutes, coming in behind YouTube star Nella Rose who had spent 63 minutes on television.
